When an imaging lab performs x-rays or scans, the results are commonly also uploaded to My Health Record, as well as being sent to the requesting provider. It will soon be mandatory for labs to share results on My Health Record, and patient's will need to opt-out on a case-by-case basis, and tell the lab that they don't want the results shared.
To access the Diagnostic Imaging View, open the patient's My Health Record, and look for Diagnostic Imaging View in the Document Type column. You can sort the columns by document type by clicking on the column heading. When the grid is sorted by column heading, there will be an Up Arrow (ascending) or Down Arrow (Descending) next to the name of the column.
Click Diagnostic Imaging View to open the diagnostic imaging document.
The diagnostic imaging view document displays the list of all prescriptions dispensed to the patient within a set date range. By default, the diagnostic imaging view document displays the last two years worth of diagnostic imaging data.
To change the date range of the diagnostic imaging view, click the Calendar Icon in the From and To at the top page, and then click Get View.
To print the diagnostic imaging document, click Print to open a print preview.
Check the page is going to right printer destination, and then click Print.
To close the diagnostic imaging view, click Close.
