Follow these steps to create a new outbound letter using a template:
- Open the patient record
- Make sure you are in the "Clinical" tab
- Make sure you are in the "Correspondence" section
- Make sure you are in the "Out" section of Correspondence
- Click New Letter to set the properties of the new letter
- Select who the letter is From, To and the Status
- Enter in the Subject and relevant Comments
- Click Save to open the letter-writer
- To view the list of templates, click Letter, Care Plan, Billing or Favorites
- Click to select the template
- Complete the letter template using free text and inserting merge fields
- When complete, click File to reveal a drop-down list
- Click Save to return to the properties of the letter
- Update the properties with all required changes (if any)
- Click Save to return to the outbound correspondence summary
The new outbound letter has been created.
