How do I Create a New Outbound Letter Using a Template?

Follow these steps to create a new outbound letter using a template:

1. Open the patient record
2. Make sure you are in the "Clinical" tab
3. Make sure you are in the "Correspondence" section
4. Make sure you are in the "Out" section of Correspondence
5. Click New Letter to set the properties of the new letter
   
   
   
6. Select who the letter is From, To and the Status
7. Enter in the Subject and relevant Comments
8. Click Save to open the letter-writer
   
   
   
9. To view the list of templates, click Letter, Care Plan, Billing or Favorites
   
   
   
10. Click to select the template
    
    
    
11. Complete the letter template using free text and inserting merge fields
12. When complete, click File to reveal a drop-down list
13. Click Save to return to the properties of the letter
    
    
    
14. Update the properties with all required changes (if any)
15. Click Save to return to the outbound correspondence summary
    

The new outbound letter has been created.
