Medicare Configuration - New Clinics
This Medicare Configuration guide will show you how to apply for a Medicare Certificate, when you are using MediRecords at a new clinic that has never previously applied for a Medicare Certificate.
Before applying for a Medicare Certificate, you will need to make note of your MediRecords Minor Site ID, as it required on the application.
To find your Minor Site ID, navigate to the top of the page and click More to reveal a drop-down list.
Click Settings to open the settings menu.
Click Configuration Settings.
On the following page, click the Name of the Practice to open the configuration settings.
Click Claiming, and then write down your Location Code.
You now need to download the Medicare form "Application for a Public Key Infrastructure Site Certificate".
To download, copy and paste the below URL into your browsers search bar or search for form HW001 in your browser:

Once you have completed the form, you will need to fax it back to the Medicare office in your state.

Please allow at least 5 to 20 business days for Medicare to process your application.
*NOTE: Once you have your certificates, you will still need to complete the Medicare Banking Details Online Claiming form to link your practice banking details and your providers to your MediRecords Minor Site ID.
