Use an anatomy image from our library to draw and annotate on, or even upload an image yourself. Tablet users can take an image of the patient in front of them and upload it and draw right away.
In this article, you will learn how to create, manage, edit and delete clinical drawings.
To access your clinical drawings, open the Resources page (click More -> Resources)
and click Clinical Drawings.
The Clinical Drawings page displays a summary of all the clinical drawings that are available for you to use in the clinical drawer in a patient's clinical record. The summary of clinical drawings includes drawings that have been created for private use, drawings that are shared with, and used by, other members of your clinic, and drawings that were created by the clinicians that contribute to the MediRecords Community.
From this page you can see the Category, Type, Name, Share level, Rating and Status of the template.
By default, the Clinical Drawings summary display a list of all Active drawings, which are fully functional, and ready to be used in the clinical drawer in a patient's clinical record.
To Create a New Clinical Drawing, click New Clinical Drawer to open a new clinical drawing form.
Once selected, you will be brought to the drawing template. Here you will have the opportunity to select the drawings:
- Category: External, Muscular, Organ, Dental etc.
- Name: The displayed title of your clinical drawing
- Type: Second level of classification e.g. Category = External, Type = Arm
- Scope: Level the drawing will be shared at (Private, Practice, Community); Default value will be set as Private
- Gender: Male, Female, Non-Specific
- File Upload: Select the image you would like to upload. This must be under 10 mb. Supported file types include PDF, JPEG or PNG
- Description: Provide a brief description of the image
- Save or Cancel: If you select Save, your Clinical Drawing will be saved and available for use. If Cancel was selected, the drawing will not be saved
