Follow these steps to upload an HI service certificate for eRx in MediRecords:
- Apply for the Health Identifiers (HI) service certificate from Medicare
- The eRx Prerequisites contain details on how to apply for an HI certificate
- Upload the certificate associated with the HI service into the practice configuration
- The HI service certificate is linked to your Medicare Billing or NASH certificate
- Click Health Identifier
- Click Certificate Pass-Phrase and type in the pass-phrase that came with your certificates
- Click Select File to open a file explorer window
- Navigate to the location of the HI certificate (usually on the CD provided by Medicare)
- Click the certificate (called Site.p12) and click Select or Open (depending on your OS)
- Click Upload File and wait for the certificate to upload
- A green tick will appear once the certificate is uploaded
- Click Save
- Once the certificate has been uploaded and saved, the system will automatically add the HI details from the certificate
- The Certificate Alias Name and Expiry Date will be auto-populated from the certificate
Note: Ensure that you enter the PIC Code and save first, before uploading the NASH certificate, since NASH certificate connects to the PIC Code when uploading.
The HI certificate has now been uploaded.
