Clinical - Past Consultations
In this article, you will learn how to review, amend and delete a patient's past consultations.
The Past Consultations page in a patient's clinical record displays a summary of the patient's past consultations, where it was held, the treating doctor and the reason.
To quickly filter past consultations from the summary, click Filter and select or search the Practice.
To search for a past consultation, click the Search box, and type in the first few letters of the reason. Press Enter and the system will display a list of the closest matches of conditions belonging to that patient.
To Amend a Consultation, click the Tick-box next to the name, and scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Amend.
An amendment form, similar to Today's Notes, will open below consultation notes.
*Note: The Observation, Examination, Drawer and Procedure tools are available for use when making an amendment. However, if the consultation is more than 24 hours old, you cannot change the Reason, or alter the text in the original consultation notes.
Once the amendment has been added, click Save to apply the changes.
The amendment will now appear below the original consultation notes.
In order to delete a consultation from the patient's record, it must be less that 24 hours old. If it is more than a day old, it is locked to the patient's record and cannot be deleted.
To Delete a Consultation (that is less than 24 hours old), click the Tick-box next to the name to reveal a list of options. Click Delete to permanently delete record of the consultation.
Click Yes to acknowledge the consultation will be deleted.
To Print a Consultation, click the Tick-box next to the name to reveal a list of options. Click Print to open the print preview screen.
Make sure it is going to the correct Printer, and check Pages, Layout and Color if necessary. Click Print to print the consultation.
