What is Stripe?

Stripe is an online payment processing platform that helps accept digital payments, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay. When integrated with platforms like MediRecords, Stripe allows patients to pay for medical services online, offering a seamless, contactless, and efficient way to process transactions in virtual healthcare settings.

How to add Stripe Payments to your account?

1. Go to More > Settings.
2. Under Settings, navigate to Integrations.
   
   
   
   
   
3. Toggle the Stripe button to "on".
   
   
   
   
4. Now, go back to Settings > Configuration > System Configuration.
5. Choose the practice you would like to set the Stripe account up for. If there is more than one, you can combine them into one flexible account.
6. After selecting the practice, click on the Digital Payments tab.
7. Click Connect to Stripe.
   
   
   
   
8. This will redirect you to a new page.
9. Fill out all the required information on the new page.
10. Finally, click Submit to complete the setup.

You will then receive a confirmation once this has been successfully registered. 

How to use the Stripe Integration

To use Stripe for processing payments after patient registration, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Patient Tab: Navigate to the Patient Tab in your system.
2. Select the Patient: Choose the patient for whom the payment is being processed.
3. Create a New Invoice: Click "New Invoice" to generate the payment invoice.
   
   
   
   
4. Choose Payment Type: Select Stripe as the payment method.
5. Open the Stripe Payment Portal: This will open the Stripe Credit Card Portal.
6. Enter Payment Details: Input the patient’s payment info (don’t save these details in your system for privacy).
7. Confirm Payment: Click "Pay Now" to process the payment via Stripe.
8. Proceed to Claiming: After confirmation, proceed with the Claiming process.
9. Invoice Generation: The system will generate the invoice after payment is complete.

How to Disable Stripe Payments

To disable the Stripe integration, follow these steps:

1. Go to More in your application or platform.
2. Click on Settings.
3. Select Integrations.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Look for Stripe in the list of integrations.
5. Toggle the switch to off to disable the Stripe integration.
