Obstetrics: Antenatal Visits & Consults

Accurately recording antenatal consultations is essential for monitoring the health and well-being of both mother and baby throughout pregnancy. MediRecords makes it simple to document each antenatal visit, ensuring that important clinical details are securely stored and easy to access for future reference.

By linking antenatal consultations to a Current Pregnancy Record, providers can build a complete picture of care during pregnancy, which is later archived under Past Pregnancies for long-term continuity of care.

Current Pregnancy Records

Adding an Antenatal Visit

1. Open the Patient Record.
2. Go to Clinical, then Obstetrics, and then Current Pregnancy.
3. Click New Antenatal.
    
4. Complete the form with all required details.
5. Click Comments to add clinical observations.
6. Click Save.
    

7. The antenatal visit is now linked to the current pregnancy.

   ✅ Tip: Multiple antenatal visits can be recorded during a pregnancy. When the pregnancy is completed, these visits will move to Past Pregnancies.

    

   Editing an Antenatal Visit

   1. Open the Patient Record.
   2. Go to Clinical, then Obstetrics, and then Current Pregnancy.
   3. Tick the box next to the antenatal visit.
   4. Click Edit.
       
       

   5. Update details as needed and click Save.

      
      Deleting an Antenatal Visit

      1. Open the Patient Record.
      2. Go to Clinical, then Obstetrics, and then Current Pregnancy.
      3. Tick the box next to the antenatal visit.
      4. Click Delete.
          
      5. Click Yes to confirm.
