Managing Security Privileges
In MediRecords, the user Security Privileges are dictated by the Security Roles, which are dependent on your subscription plan. While these come with preset options, you have the ability to reduce or increase permissions.
This tutorial will explain and demonstrate the functions you can use to manage the security privileges of your users.
To view Security Roles:
1. Click More and select Settings.
2. Click on Security.
You will be taken to the Security Roles page. Each user in your practice will be assigned one of these roles, which dictates their permissions.
Note that the Practice Owner Security Role cannot be altered or edited. There must be at least one user on your MediRecords subscription with this security role.
To demonstrate, we will click into the Doctor role. Hover your cursor until you see View, and click.
You will be shown the Security Privileges inside this role.
The Security Privileges are divided into nine separate sections:
Relates to Accounts Payable, Expenses, Expense Journal, and Assignments.
Relates to Appointments, Consulting Rooms, Sessions (opening hours), and Holidays.
Relates to Accounts Receivable, Payments, Invoices, Bulk Billing Claims and Reports, and Adjustments.
Relates to Clinical Data, including Allergies, Immunisations, Demographics, Hospitalisations, Pregnancies, and other Medical History.
Relates to Activities, such as Clinical Actions and Tasks.
Relates to Patient Records, including creating New Patients, Alcohol / Smoking Status, Family History, and Social Habits

Relates to Practices, Users, MediRecords Modules, Biographies, and Qualifications
Each section has Items which dictate what the user can do.

Delete - delete existing records
All - can perform all of the above actions
None - no access to these records allowed
