This tutorial will walk you through the appointment provider filter.
The appointment provider filter has been updated to a search bar function to give you the ability to search for specific providers rather than choosing from a list.
Users still have the ability to set their preferences to view the appointment calendar either by providers with available sessions, or by choosing a set list of providers to see every time they open the appointments page.
This can be configured by going to the Person Icon > Preferences > Appointments.
You can choose either:
1 - Show Providers with Active Sessions: Every time you open the appointments page, it will automatically show you providers with active sessions for this day so you don't need to see providers who aren't working on this day.
2 - Appointment Provider Filter: Choose a set list of providers you want to see every time you open the appointments page, regardless of if they are working that day or not.
These preferences are defaults, so you can always add in extra providers using the search function by clicking on 'Providers' next to the New Appointment button. The page will adapt to add in these extra providers you choose to view. When you refresh or navigate away from the appointments page, it will return to your defaults specified in your preferences.
You've completed another MediRecords Tutorial. You should now be able to search for providers in Appointments using the search bar function. If this is not what you're looking for, head back to our knowledge base and search for another article.
