Due to Services Australia's requirements in Web Services, it is mandatory to include the patient's Medicare card number when sending In-Patient Invoice claims to a health fund (IMC). This means situations where a patient does not have a Medicare card (such as some DVA card holders), are not able to have their claims sent electronically to a health fund (IMC).
