When this settings is enabled, the system will automatically transmit any claims in the "Unclaimed Amount" section at the close of business to Medicare, provided that the patient's Health Identifying information (OPV, OVV, PVF) has been successfully validated.
To turn on this feature, follow these steps:
- Go to More
- Select Settings
- Select Configuration Settings.
- Select your practice name
- Go to Claiming-PRODA. Check the box for Automatically Submits Medicare Claims.
- Click Save
Note: Automatically submitting claims specifically relates to Bulk Billing, DVA and PCI. Patient claims, like Bill to Patient and Bill to Head of Family are sent to Medicare in real time.
