This article explains how to change the status of each admission, such as Admitted, Ready to Discharge or Cancel.
To undertake any change in the status you are required to click on Admission. 
When admitting a patient, the status will automatically display as "Admitted".
To indicate that the patient is ready for discharge, choose "Ready to Discharge" and then click "Yes".
To cancel the encounter with the patient, select Cancel.
Ensure to provide a reason for cancellation as saving it will delete the encounter, and this action cannot be undone. Then, click Save.
