Admission Type - Urgent /Emergency

In certain urgent situations, patients may need to bypass the standard pre-admission steps and be admitted directly, ensuring prompt and critical care. This knowledge base article outlines the procedure for admitting a patient as urgent or as an Emergency

Verify Patient's Existence in the System, if they are not please follow the link to add the patient.

• Select Find Patient   
• Enter the patient name in the search field and select Search
• Patient search findings will populate in the Patient Grid.
• Select the Patient for Urgent Admission:
• Click the plus (+) next to the patient you wish to admit urgently 

• You are now presented with the type of admission, choose Urgent Admission

The Urgent Admission Form will now populate.

Complete the Urgent Admission Form, and fill in the following mandatory fields: 

• Reason for Presentation
•  Facility
• Admission Date
• Admission Time

• Select Save 
• Pop up Create Status "Are you sure you want to create an encounter for this patient"
• Select Yes  

You have now successfully admitted your Urgent/ Emergency patient.
