Clinical Templates in MediRecords are designed to save time, improve consistency, and support best-practice care during consultations. These pre-built questionnaires cover a wide range of common clinical scenarios, from general examinations to specialised assessments such as cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, mental health, and more. By using templates, providers can capture structured information quickly and ensure nothing important is missed.

Creating a Clinical Template
To use a clinical template in a consultation, click on Today's Notes and click the Examination button. For this example, we will pick Psychology.
This will open the clinical template that you can fill out. Click Save when you have finished.
The template results will automatically fill out as shown in Today's Notes.
Editing a Clinical Template
Select the checkbox of the EPC activity you wish to edit and click Edit.
You will be shown the activity form. Make the changes as necessary and click Save.
Deleting a Clinical Template
Note: This is a permanent action and cannot be reversed.
To delete an activity, check the box next to the name and click Delete.
You will be shown a warning message. Click Yes if you wish to proceed or No to cancel.
Printing a Clinical Template
- Open the patient record
- Make sure you are in the "Clinical" tab
- Make sure you are in the "Extended Care" section
- Click the Tick-box next to the name of the EPC
- Click More to reveal a drop-down list, and click Print to open a print preview
- Check to make sure the page is going to the right printer Destination and click Print
The EPC form has now been printed.
Resource Management
You can customise which Clinical Templates are visible to your user through the Resource screen, so your Examination or New EPC menu reflects only templates you will use.
To access the Clinical Template Resource Library, navigate to More and select Resources.
Within Resources, click on Clinical Templates.
You will be brought to the following screen:
You can search for a template using the Search field. For example, we will search "psych". Enter the text and click the search icon. Alternatively, hit Enter or Return on your keyboard.
The following result will be shown. This will produce a result that matches your search term by name.
You can filter your view of the clinical templates based on the Active status.
