Business reporting in MediRecords gives practices a clear, data driven view of how appointments and consultations are running day to day. By drawing on information already captured in your system, the Business category turns raw scheduling and consultation data into easy to read dashboards. These visualisations help you quickly spot patterns in waiting times, appointment types, provider activity, and consultation lengths, so you can make more informed decisions about efficiency and patient flow.
Both the Appointment Dashboard and Consultation Dashboard are fully interactive, with filters to refine reports by practice or time period and export options to share insights in PDF or Excel. Instead of sifting through records manually, you can generate clear reports in seconds, compare performance across time frames, and share results with your team or management. Business reporting is a powerful way to back up operational choices with real data and continually improve the way your clinic runs.

Opening Business Reports
- Navigate to More and click Reporting.
- Select the Business category as shown.
- You will be given two options.
- Appointment Dashboard: Provides metrics using data collected from Appointment and Waiting Room such as Waiting Time, Types, and Duration.

Consultation Dashboard: Provides consultation data visualisation using categories such as Provider and Duration.
Appointment Dashboard
Clicking on Appointment Dashboard will give you these graphs.
Hovering over the question mark on each graph will give you a quick explanation. For example, this is the popup provided for Appointment Channels by Practice.
The Appointment Dashboard will also have the following options at the top: Filter and Export.
The Filter function allows you to customise the report generated by selecting the Practice and Schedule Date.
The time frame of Schedule Date can be adjusted either through inputting a date or picking a predetermined time length (i.e. yesterday, last week, last month).
This will now populate the graphs with data that satisfies both conditions.
Once the report has been run, you can then select Export on the far-right hand side of your screen either by PDF or Excel. In this instance, we will export to PDF.
This will output the report to a new tab.
Consultation Dashboard
This article will now focus on the Consultation Dashboard. You can switch over to this dashboard in two ways: either by clicking the left arrow to go back to the Business screen, or by clicking the down arrow and selecting Consultation Dashboard, as shown.
The Consultation Dashboard will look like this.
Similar to Appointment Dashboard, you are able to hover over the question mark icon on each graph that explains the data being displayed.
The Filter and Export options also function the same way here. For an example, we will run a report for the practice with the date range Last 365 Days.
This will produce the following output.
To export this result, simply click on Export and select your preferred data format.
