All state governments have a prescribing conformance requirement that mandates that a prescriber re-enter their password when prescribing Schedule 8 medications.
Reauthentication and Single Sign-On
When prescribing a Schedule 8 medication, you will be prompted to re-enter your MediRecords password at the end of the prescribing workflow.
If your practice uses SAML or ADFS single sign-on (SSO), you may only log into one central portal on your computer each day, with apps such as MediRecords logging you in automatically. If this is the case, you may not know your MediRecords password.
Resetting Your Password
If you don't know your MediRecords password, you have two options:
- Reset your MediRecords password, then use this password when prescribing Schedule 8 medications. You may need to log out of MediRecords and back into the app again for this to take effect.
- If the above does not resolve the issue, speak to your systems integrator or IT team for assistance with resetting your MediRecords password.
