Why Does My Consult Date Show as Yesterday?
A consult note is automatically started as soon as you open a patient's Clinical record, so it can capture anything you add during that visit, such as medications.
Normally, an open consult note is closed and locked by the system at midnight. For 24-hour clinics and hospitals, this would risk cutting off a real consult in progress. So if you open a patient record after 10PM, that consult is instead closed and locked at midnight the following night, not the same night.
Why Doesn't Paste Go Where My Cursor Is?
Pasting content into Today's Notes, including into tables, inserts it at the end of the note rather than at your cursor position. This is a known limitation of the text editor currently used in Today's Notes, and isn't something that can be fixed until this moves to a different tool which we are actively investigating.
Why Was My Consult Closed by Another User?
Only one user can have an active consult open for a patient at a time. If another user opens the same patient's Clinical record while you have a consult open, your consult will be closed. This is expected behaviour, not a fault.
Why Do I Get an Error When I Duplicate a Browser Tab?
Working on the same patient's consult across two browser tabs at once isn't supported. If you duplicate a tab while a patient's consult is open, you'll see an error message. To avoid this, only have one tab open per patient at a time.
Why Did My Consult Date or Time Change Unexpectedly?
The LastPass browser extension can silently change the default values in the Consult Date and Consult Time fields through its autofill feature. If you notice these fields changing unexpectedly, disable LastPass autofill for MediRecords. See Disabling AutoFill Icon in Chrome for more information.
