Accessing Past Consultations in MediRecords allows providers to quickly review a patient’s clinical history, ensuring continuity of care and informed decision-making. Within the Clinical tab, you can view a detailed summary of previous consultations, including where they were held, the treating doctor, and the reason for the visit. This centralised view saves time and eliminates the need to search through paper records or external systems.
Past Consultations can also be filtered, searched, printed, and amended when necessary, making it easy to retrieve the information most relevant to ongoing treatment. Having these records at hand supports better patient outcomes by helping providers track progress, follow up on past issues, and avoid unnecessary duplication of care.

New: Sanitised Content Warning in Past Consult Notes
As part of a safety update, MediRecords now checks consult notes for unsafe or unknown content. If such content is detected in a past consultation, it may be automatically removed to protect your data.
You may see this message when opening historical notes:
What this means:
- MediRecords found content that may be unsafe (e.g., pasted from external programs like Word, added via API, or stored in older notes with unsupported formatting).
- The content was automatically cleaned.
- Some formatting, links, or images may now appear as plain text.
- Because past consults are read‑only, you cannot edit or adjust them.
