Sending consent forms electronically through Engage saves you and your team valuable time. Instead of printing, signing, scanning, and uploading documents back into the patient record, you can create a consent request in just a few clicks and have the patient sign it securely online.
This streamlined process reduces paperwork, eliminates delays, and ensures every signed consent is automatically recorded in the patient file. By moving to electronic consent, you cut out repetitive admin tasks while giving patients a simple, convenient way to complete and return their forms.

Publication Rules
Consent records will automatically be published to Engage for a patient with an account, provided they are in Active, Proposed, or Rejected Statuses.
This will allow a patient to view any Consent records that they have previously Approved or Declined that are still active, along with any that are assigned to the patient to action.
Publishing a Completed Consent Record
If a patient has signed a Consent Form within the Practice, you can still publish the record to Engage for the patient to view at their own leisure. The steps below explain how to publish a fully complete Consent record:
- Open the patient record
- Click the Forms tab
Note: If you cannot see the Forms tab, click on the Consent tab instead. - Open the Consent tab
- Click New Consent
- Finish completing the mandatory fields of information
- Click Save
- If the Consent Record is in Active, Proposed, or Rejected Status, it will be published to Engage in read-only form for the patient.
- Hovering over the icon in the final column of the Consent grid will display the Published By user, time, and date or publication.
Patient Actioned Consent Requests
Engage allows you to create a Consent Record, send it to the patient, and receive their electronic approval or refusal. This removes the need for manual printing, signing, scanning, and uploading to the patient record.
