MediRecords integrates with Coviu to support Telehealth video consultations, allowing providers to conduct appointments remotely and patients to join from any device via a unique consultation link. This article explains how to schedule a Telehealth appointment, how the provider joins the Coviu session, and how the patient accesses their consultation.

Creating a Telehealth Appointment
Follow these steps to schedule a Telehealth consultation in the appointment calendar.
- Navigate to the Appointments section.
- Select a timeslot or click New Appointment, enter the patient's details with a valid mobile number or email, choose the Telehealth appointment type, and click Save to generate the consultation link.
- Once saved, a link for the Telehealth consult will be available on the appointment.
- The Telehealth consultation is now scheduled and can be viewed from your appointment book.
✅ Tip:
- This consultation cannot be rescheduled for a past date or time.
- Booking a Telehealth appointment creates a unique link for both the provider and the patient. See below for instructions on how each party joins the session.
Joining as a Provider
Follow these steps to open and begin a Telehealth consultation as the treating provider.
- Navigate to your appointment book and open the scheduled Telehealth appointment.

Select the Telehealth Consultation hyperlink.
✅ Tip: Only the designated provider will be able to select the link and open the Coviu consultation. - You will be redirected to the Coviu consultation. Follow the on-screen instructions to enable audio and video access.
- After enabling audio and video access, your Coviu consultation screen will appear.
- When the patient arrives in the waiting room, select Accept to admit them to the consultation.
- You may now begin the consultation.
Joining as a Patient
Once a Telehealth appointment has been scheduled, the patient will receive an email or SMS with their unique consultation link.
- The patient receives an email or SMS with a link to the consultation.
- The link redirects the patient to the Coviu waiting room, where they will await admittance by the provider.
